A hundred goals, fantastic dribbles, food specialties, and unique foosball tricks were all on display at the football tournament organized by HUNÉP.

As in previous years, the event also served a charitable purpose. CEO Miklós Bakos stated:

“This year, we are supporting the gastroenterology department of the Nagyerdő Clinic with one million forints in partnership with our partners. This medical field affects nearly ninety percent of the population with some complaint, yet it receives less support. With this donation, we can help purchase a medical device used for special procedures.”

The HUNÉP leader added:

“We saw beautiful gameplay and stunning goals and dribbles this year as well. Through shared physical activity, we not only promote our health but also build teams. Additionally, with around two hundred construction workers coming together, it has a community-building effect.”

A total of twelve football teams competed in the cup. Matches were continuously played on three fields. Over twenty-six matches, more than one hundred players scored nearly 100 goals.

The special award for the best fan team went to the colleagues from Topsteel, and the top scorer, Balázs Kontor, who scored 13 goals, was also from this team.

The best goalkeeper was Hady Lehel from HUNÉP, and the most technical player, as chosen by the referees, was Richárd Molnár from OTIS, who also took home the Fair Play award.

The final was won by the Duna Dráva team in over thirty degrees heat, with a single but beautiful goal in a tough tactical battle. The Topsteel team came in second, and the host HUNÉP team finished in third place, beating OTIS four to one in the bronze match.

Six companies participated in the cooking competition. The jury’s president, István Hegymegi, a board member of SZINORG Universal Zrt., commented on the evaluation:

“Delicious and beautiful food specialties, real creations were prepared. It was very challenging for the tasters, yet the winner was clear. The criteria included the quality of the used ingredients, the flavoring of the prepared dishes, and, of course, the presentation.”

In this competition, OTIS came in third, UNISZOL second, and the ASA team took first place.

The third competition was foosball. Although played in the shade, there was also intense competition for victory. In the end, the bronze medal went to ASA, the silver to Rácz Tüzép, and the gold to the colleagues from Merkbau.
