Hunép Zrt. could close one of its most successful years

The company is celebrating its 30th anniversary and anticipates a turnover of approximately 20 billion forints. Hunép Zrt. is currently involved in several urban projects, and on Friday, our leaders provided an update on the company’s current economic situation at a jubilee briefing.

– HUNÉP has always been more than just a construction company. Our goal is to create buildings that will serve as living spaces for their users. Our work gains its true meaning when the completed properties come to life, fulfill their functions, and provide suitable environments for the daily lives of those who live and work there – said CEO Miklós Bakos at the event.

The company could close one of the most successful years in its history, despite the market challenges.

-What is very challenging is the general rise in construction material prices, wage increases, a shortage of contractors, and a lack of skilled labor. These are the factors we have to contend with daily in these projects; there are no exceptions,- highlighted Production Director Tamás Hegymegi.

CEO Miklós Bakos Over the past three decades, we have participated in around 900 projects nationwide, and our work has been recognized with several professional awards. Currently, during busy periods, we employ 1,000-1,200 people, including subcontractors.

At the jubilee briefing, our CEO announced that in line with the city’s economic strategy, we will soon implement a new enterprise management system to enable our employees to use digital technology more effectively.

-It provides a tremendous opportunity for every business, including ours, and we had to be prepared for it. Over the past three years, we have continuously restructured our company and prepared to implement these tasks and harness the economic growth that the city is experiencing today,- said Miklós Bakos. He added that the next five to ten years will be about this economic competition, and those who do not act now will be at a disadvantage.
