The Swiss company Sensirion’s factory in Debrecen has been officially inaugurated. This is the company’s first factory established outside its home country in Europe. The factory building was jointly constructed by Xanga Ventures Private Equity Fund Manager Ltd. and Szinorg Universal Property Management Ltd. in the Határ út industrial park, and it is leased by Sensirion’s Hungarian subsidiary.

István Herdon, CEO of Xanga Ventures, stated in his welcome speech that Xanga’s business model has remained unchanged for 20 years; they build turnkey factories for relocating companies. He emphasized that sensor manufacturing, including Sensirion, has a successful future ahead.

Mayor László Papp expressed his appreciation to Sensirion’s decision-makers for creating this inspiring work environment, bringing a small piece of Switzerland to Debrecen.

Gyula Szűcs, CEO of Szinorg, mentioned that two member companies of the group participated in the investment, with Szinorg as a co-investor and HUNÉP as the contractor. He added that he is proud of his colleagues, as they managed to build a high-quality manufacturing facility within 15 months from the contract signing.

Patrick Good, Director of Maintenance and Infrastructure at Sensirion Holding, greeted the attendees in Hungarian. In his speech, he said that they had examined numerous potential locations for their investment and found Debrecen to be the city where they could take Sensirion to the next level.

Johannes Bleuel, Vice President of Sensirion Holding, highlighted that the factory was completed in a very short time and that they could build an excellent team in Debrecen for the launch.
